marocMaroc’s pro-ageing Cactéa skincare line and facials launch in UK and Irish spa markets

Luxury skincare distributor Vilasa has introduced marocMaroc’s newest well-ageing skincare range and spa treatments to the UK and Ireland.

Founded in 2007, marocMaroc is a spa, skincare and hammam brand inspired by
Morocco and its healing traditions. The brand’s new range – called Cactéa – is powered by prickly pear oil, an ingredient used for centuries in Moroccan beauty rituals and also a natural product high in vitamins E, A, C and Omega 6.

The line features the Cactéa Rich Cream, Cactéa Velvety Cream, Cactéa Nectar of Precious Oils Soothing Serum and the Cactéa Creamy Mask.

The products are non-comedogenic, non-photosensitive and suit all skin types, plus marocMaroc’s environmentally-friendly approach also means the packaging is recyclable, from bottles to boxes, to offer a greener and more sustainable product.

“We’re extremely excited to announce the launch of marocMaroc’s latest range to the UK and Irish markets,” announced Vilasa founder Lynne Leon.

“The Cactéa range is the perfect blend of natural and effective ingredients combined with a fresh Moroccan signature fragrance. It makes for a great addition to the brand collection.

“Moroccan prickly pear oil is renowned for its anti-ageing qualities and has been used by Moroccans for hundreds of years to provide the skin with powerful active ingredients to fight free radicals, protect the skin's natural barrier and boost collagen production.”

Vilasa – a specialist distributor of luxury skincare for the spa, hotel and retail industry – also revealed details about the three new Cactéa spa treatments.

The facials have been developed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, sculpt the contours of the face and rejuvenate the complexion.

The first UK property to debut the well-ageing treatments and range will be London’s Akasha Spa at Hotel Cafe Royal.

marocMaroc is also a spa partner in the UK at Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square, The Newt in Somerset and the iconic London department store Harrods.

Leon also shared that the facials have already been launched in The Royal Mansour in Morocco and Fairmont Geneva in Switzerland.

The pro-ageing facials in detail

Cactéa Signature Ritual From marocMaroc // 80 minutes
This healthy ageing facial starts with a warming eucalyptus compression for the feet and a scalp massage. Next, a hydrating cleanse and purifying exfoliation prepares the skin for the powers of Moroccan prickly pear before the Nectar of Precious Oils is then combined with facial lifting techniques to leave skin visibly lifted. The application of two facial masks one after the other then help to purify and restore radiance while a soothing massage is performed on the arms and lower legs.

Revitalising Facial From marocMaroc // 60 minutes
This well-ageing facial is designed to rejuvenate the complexion through a protocol which includes a cleansing and exfoliating ritual, a mask application and lymphatic drainage techniques. The journey is completed with a facial massage using Cactéa’s signature serum developed to relax expression lines and tone and firm facial contours.

Jet Lag Recovery Facial From marocMaroc // 60 minutes
This treatment experience is claimed to energise tired skin and release tense muscles after travel. The experience begins with a refreshing cleanse and purifying exfoliation. Therapists aim to detoxify and stimulate blood flow in guests with a shoulder and lymphatic facial massage. While guests relax with a rejuvenating mask, attention is then turned to tired feet and legs with an energising massage.

Prices for the treatments are still yet to be finalised
